What is Hatchy Pocket?
Hatchy Pocket is a digital collectible comprised of 40 Unique, meticulously designed, highly detailed and awesomely animated elemental monsters!
Though, thats not all, they are designed to do a little bit more,
Each unique collectible (NFT) can be staked for a currency token, which allows the owner greater access into the Hatchy ecosystem, starting with “Gen 2” monsters to “expand the IP”
ok, but what’s an IP?
Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce
what does this mean?
This means that you own and control the Hatchie #NFT but we own and control the Hatchy Pocket Universe and the monster designs etc…
So, maybe, we can say something arbitrary like, “you can draw and sell your Hatchy Monster, but must display tokenID”. We can also add, “you cant draw, use or reference our logo, or our name, etc”
If you breach the user rights the IP owner enforces on you, they can sue you, probably with the money and support you empowered them with… 🤣
wait, what?!
yeah… if you look at “terms and conditions” of most NFTs you own, as well as any IP or franchise you interact with day to day, you are infact, usually given very restrictive usage rights and interaction rules with your actual purchased end product.
🙃Can we please not do that?
Well, is there a better way? I mean, isn’t that the only way? 👀
Can we use blockchain to improve this flow, and create a more sustainable cycle, where all the network participants are respected from the foundational layer up?
Well, I’m glad you asked my friend, because we can decentralize this IP and do just that…
Why decentralize an IP?
Intellectual Properties maybe seeded by the artist or company, but they are usually grown in the hands, minds and experiences of the community. Its through their interaction and shared experiences the IP is truly estabilished
The more people that join the collective experience, the more value is usually generated in terms of culture and experience in the IP, similar to the exponential value generation of a network effect
We can see considerable value in decentralized ownership of an IP, especially through NFT means; as the Owners of the collection become the owners of the brand and are empowered to help develop and benefit from the growth of the intellectual property, its ever expanding ecosystem, and the value it generates.
How can such a thing be managed?
We believe we can use modern web infrastructure and the blockchain to form the basis of the logistical foundation and kickstart the community in this endeavor
We aim to create and use automation tools to manage and govern the Hatchy universe in a decentralized way, as a DAO

We’re aiming to create clear simple rules encoded as a transparent computer program which can be controlled by the community
In our case, the Hatchy Pocket DAO, which every Hatchy Currency holder will be a part of, will own, and control the entirety of the Intellectual Property(IP) of Hatchy Pocket
Hatchy Pocket Decentralized Monsters + DAO!
thats a lot to make sense of, so lets see if we can bring it together more concisely,
“Hatchy pocket is creating a decentralized Intellectual Property (IP) owned and managed by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)”
We aim to regulate a flat hierarchy in our community with an organizational layer of machines. This foundational layer will suggest a protocol for logistics and implicitly provide the basis for our behavior management system, which is designed to work from the ground up via our economic model, and its incentives which promote those said “right behaviors”
Currency
The Hatchy Pocket currency will only be available through its own separate contract and is aimed at issuing tokens that can be used as the voting communication tool and to express ownership of the DAO, eventually allowing for royalties to be distributed to the DAO owners
Long term roadmap
Our long term roadmap becomes more loose as we hand over the IP to the token holders, along with a whole new set of features to help them to organize and continue to develop further
DAO
As we get to the release of the staking system, currency token and gen 2, we will be transitioning to a fully decentralized community owned model, and will no longer be under the teams direct control
